How to Use Atlas

6 steps running a live engagement through the atlas, from first recon to the report

Atlas is not a wiki you read. It is a tool you operate. Set your variables once, start where you are, pin what works, and record as you go: the whole engagement moves through one continuous line.

  1. Set your engagement

    variables

Open $_ vars in the top bar and set your IP, target, domain, and credentials once. From then on every command across the atlas fills in with your real values and copies ready to run. Set them once, and never retype them.

  2. Start where you are

    the engine

Tell the atlas what you hold and it routes you to the ordered next moves, each a real technique with byte-exact commands. Or press Ctrl K: type a command to land on the exact line, a technique to open its page, or what you hold to get routed.

  3. Work the technique

    one continuous flow

Every page is byte-exact and cross-linked. When you are done, the connected rail at the bottom carries you onward: what this leads to, what it follows, and the tools that do it.

  4. Build your loadout

    the runbook

Pin any command as you work and it lands in your loadout, already filled with your engagement variables. Export the whole tray as one ready-to-run runbook when you are done, or hand it to a teammate.

  5. Record as you go

    the report writes itself

Open the journal in the top bar and log every finding, credential, host, and note the moment you hit it, not from memory at the end. Export the lot as a Markdown report skeleton, grouped and severity-sorted, ready to flesh out. The checklist tells you exactly what to capture at each step.

    What to Record
  6. The whole map

    reference + range

Seven hubs for grab-and-go reference, six domains for the full technique library, and the playbooks for the ordered thinking. Everything cross-links, so the judgment and the reference are one product.
